About Alyssa
Alyssa A. Young
Founder
Alyssa is an African American and Mexican American biracial woman who takes great pride in her diverse heritage. She is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently a PhD candidate at Antioch University New England (AUNE). In addition to her studies, Alyssa works at Friends University in the role of Special Appointment Assistant Faculty, where she also serves as the Assistant Clinical Director. Furthermore, she supervises students in her capacity as adjunct faculty at AUNE. Alyssa is deeply passionate about advancing mental health support for Black and Latino/a/x communities and is dedicated to addressing the unique challenges they face. On a personal level, she loves spending quality time in the comforting presence of her family and finds joy in relaxing next to the beach whenever she has the opportunity to escape from the hustle and bustle of life in the Midwest.
